It's Still October for Crying Out Loud

It's was mighty cold here last week when my grandsons came for the day. There really is a baby in there somewhere in that fleece above! Jackson wasn't quite sure he was enjoying the walk we had last Friday morning. Afterall, it's October and it's supposed to be warmer than this.

But the other two, Carter and Ga, did enjoy the walk. The leaves were beautiful, the neighborhood was mostly quiet and it was nice to be out in the fresh air. What you can't quite see in this picture is that is was just starting to snow at this point. Baby Jackson is still not sure what to make of this.

Then is was time to rake some of those pretty leaves by this expert raking crew I hired with the promise of a grilled cheese for lunch. The littlest crew member did a great job for a while until it was more fun to mess the pile of leaves up. Oh well. There will be more to rake next week.

  2. Hi Chris,
Yes it is still October, but it is cold down here too. Our high was 62 and T.V. said Boston's high was 60.only 2 degrees difference.
    Good looking Grandsons!!

  4. It has been chilly here in NH. My grandson arrived this morning bundled in a fleece snowsuit. I hope winter will wait at least a few weeks.

  8. This past week of frigid temperatures and snow has at last pulled me from denial into the cold brutal truth..."Patty it't not summer any more!"

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
