Two posts in one day-what's going on here. I've been tagged by Pam at Pam Kitty Morning for 7 things about meme so here are the rules. By the way, I've done this before so I may repeat some of the things about me and I think Pam is getting back at me for passing on the Spreader of Love award to her!
The rules of the meme are:
1. When tagged, place the name of the person and URL on your blog
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Write 7 things about yourself
4. Name 7 of your favorite blogs
5. Send an e-mail letting those bloggers know they have been tagged
So here goes;
1. I am a college hockey geek. My husband and I have season tickets to UNH men's hockey and we love it. We even record the games when we are at one so we can then come home and check out the replays. By the way, UNH won the Hockey East title this past Saturday and hopefully will go on to the national championship, but you don't care about that because you're not lucky enough to be a college hockey geek like me.
2. I have an artificial knee. I had my left knee replaced two years ago and am very glad I did as it bothered me for years. But it is a pain when I fly now because I set of the alarms and have to be practically strip searched. My daughter thinks that is hilarious.
3. When I was first married and living on an Air Force Base in Colorado I was in a bowling league with John Denver's mother, Erma. Her husband was retired military and they lived in Denver. She was a cute, tiny little woman.
4. My first job was delivering eggs. My uncle had a chicken farm and my sister and I used to bring eggs around to neighbors in a wagon. We were about 6 and 8 years old. My mother must have been breaking some kind of child labor law.
5. One of the most interesting jobs I had at one time was a mystery shopper. I would shop and write up reports on the people waiting on me.
6. I hate big houses. It's a pet peeve of mine that all these giant houses are being built these days. Why can't they build nice little cottages or ranch homes anymore?
7. And the best thing about me is that I have known my husband since kindergarten. I didn't actually know him then but we did go to the same kindergarten. I've been married to him for almost 33 years and been dating him for a lot longer. I think it's great that we have stuck together this long. It's been easy on my side because he is such a good man.
So I will now tag PenPen, Cherry, Rose, Peri, Sue, Julie, and Mary. I have Martha's Stewart's blog listed as one I read and I was actually considering tagging her to see if she would do this but I didn't have the guts. I hope someone else will try it!
