Pulling Fabric

So I finsished on project and am thinking about starting another. I finished the fall quilt I was making, except for the binding. I love the leaf quilting my long arm friend did.

Then I have been pulling fabrics from the stash to make a new quilt. I have a couple of designs in mind but haven't decided which to do yet. One of my favorite things to do is to combine all sorts of fabric. I love scrap quilts and you just can't get the right look with fat quarters from a designer collection. So I have been playing with my fabrics and having fun.

It has been awfully rainy and cold here so I am hoping summer arrives soon - like this Friday when I am off to Cape Cod. Keep your fingers crossed.

  1. Chris! So good to see you. I love love love this fall quilt. Grrreat finish. Really great design and super fabric for the border not to mention the quilting. Perfect! Fun fabric you've got pulled here. It's lying there as if to say "fun happens here!"

Thanks for sharing. Warm hugs, *karendianne.

  2. Your Autumn quilt is beautiful - such lovely fabrics. I am a scrappy quilter too and love delving about throwing fabrics together - much more fun than using one line xx

  3. Your autumn quilt is absolutely beautiful! I love it! Your new fabrics are going to make a great quilt!

  4. What a beautiful quilt and the quilting is very cool as well. Hope summer gets there soon, we're finally getting some and it's wonderful. Enjoy the Cape!!

  5. I love your twin 9 patches quilt! Can't wait to see what you do for your next project - that's a nice collection of fabric you've pulled for it!

  6. Your leaf quilt is GORGEOUS!! And that pile of fabrics that you've pulled are soooo inviting. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. :)

  7. I adore the colors in your Autumn quilt. The Border fabric is wonderful. Hope the weather is good for your visit. Here in England it is not too cold but rainy. One minute we are in t-shirts next back in jumpers! Susie x

  8. I do like your quilt. The nine-patch really shines in this latout.

  9. I really LOVE your autumn quilt. Those colours work SO well together. And I've truly been inspired by the table runner and topper.
Great work. The colours are fab!!!

  10. The colors are just so warm and beautiful...Fall is my favorite time of year and seeing this makes my heart yearn for it...but I must not rush the season I know.
You have so much talent! I envy such a gift!

  11. Love that lovely Autumn Quilt, the leaves are lovely.
Like you, I prefer true scrap quilts and your new project is looking good already.
Hope you have some warm weather at Cape Cod.

  12. I love the way it turned out. I also love the scraps you have pulled out. I hope you found some summer. We have a bit too much here!

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
