Too Much Going On

I've been busy people so that is ny only explanation for being absent. I work at a college and the end of the year is just about as busy as the beginning of the academic year but I don't have to think about that until August. Two more weeks and I'm off for a good part of the summer. One of my good friends at work announced this week she is retiring. Sure gets me thinking.

Anyways, I have been sewing new cushions for my screen porch couch-almost done so pictures soon.Other than that I have done no quilt related sewing but I have a list in my head to get going on so there'll be many pictures soon. But what's a post without some pictures so here's a couple.

This is my cat Penny who always finds a quilt to nap on and also seems to find the sun which she did one morning this week. Oh to be a cat and lounge on a quilt all day.

I refer to this chair as the magic rocking chair because it magically puts babies and adults asleep. They stayed this way for an hour and a half this past Friday. But have no fear, I stayed right near by to make sure they stayed safe and sound. Life is good!

  1. I work at a community college too and this past couple of weeks have been out of the box crazy for me so I completely understand what you're saying. I love the rocking chair picture too! Precious!

  2. LOL!! Had to laugh about the chair ! Thats so cute !!

  3. Awwwww!
Such an adorable photo of the sleeping princes.
Penny is gorgeous and very similar in colour to one of my girls.

  4. Great photo of "the chair". And Penny is a very cute cat! Yes, retirement, a ways away for me ;(

  5. My cat, Mandu, loves to help. He has a whole pile of fabric for me by the bedroom door when I get up in the morning.

  6. Oh that sweet sleeping photo! It just made me smile so, so big! There is nothing like a great chair and a snuggling a sleeping baby to make you nod right off! When I sat with my nephew or my neighbor's baby, I woulod snuggle them to sleep and poof! *smile*
Penny is a beautiful kitty! Just so pretty!

  7. I enjoy reading your blog, and I love the photos you published here! We, too, have a long-haired calico (named Puzzle). The snoozing photo is wonderful. Thank you for sharing these!

  8. What gorgeous photos! I love Penny. I love that wonderful photo of baby safe & sound and warm. Love in a picture.

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
