So How Many People Can I Feed?

Sorry for the lack of blog posts here. I've been feeling a bit under the weather. My doctor said it was a virus. Or maybe it's because I suddenly realized when I washed the plates for Thanksgiving and started counting people and chairs, that there are 28 people coming to my house. How did that happen? I surely thought that some people would have other plans but no, they're coming here. It'll all be good!

So if Thanksgiving is at your house, how many people are coming? I'd really be interested in hearing your responses so leave me a comment. Otherwise, have a Happy Thanksgiving. My husband and I are definitely blessed so we say thanks everyday.

  1. This is an "off year" for us. So, extended family won't be coming. We're having 9 people. My four kids, DH and me, two grandmas and one fiancee.

  2. Only a handful compared to you my friend. It feels like 28 to me though... does that count? :>

  4. We will have four plus the granddog and our cat... far cry from my childhood Thanksgiving table with my great-grandparents, my grandparents, my parents, and my sister (and occasional aunts/uncles/cousins).

  5. This year it's just 'us,' our little family of three. We didn't invite anyone simply because we wanted to enjoy this holiday season with our girl for the first time in 10 years. Oh, surely someone will stop by for some pie or a sandwich to go . . . but I'm only setting the table for 3 *s*

  6. We had our immediate family gathering on Sunday as two of my children will be at their in-laws, both out of state, for Thanksgiving Day. There was 11 of us. Tomorrow we go to my brother's house and there will probably be 12 or 13 of us there. I only have to make pies and a brocolli casserole for that one.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. Our Thanksgiving celebration will be a bit different this year. All ladies and children. That's right - not a man in the bunch! My sweatheart is elk hunting on the other side of our state, our son is winging his way to Cambodia, our son-in-law is not able to be hear and our oldest granddaughter is out of town with family. We will have four ladies and five children - my dear mother, my daughter, my daughter-in-law, one granddaughter, four grandsons and me! We are going to have a G-O-O-D time. ~Adrienne~

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
