Tea and Ballerinas

I have been among the missing this week and weekend. This week I was just too busy and now this weekend I am sick, which is so unlike me. I am never sick. I literally cannot remember the last time I had a cold. Anyways, I caught this one from hubby who first had the cold and then the flu. I am in the cold verging on flu stage. So lots of tea for me.

I found two of these wonderful green tea cups at a thrift store recently.

The back stamp on them declares that they are the "Ballerina" pattern. I have had a platter in this pattern for a while that I bought in Maine one summer but this is the first time I have seen anything in that pattern since.

So back to the couch and more tea please.

  1. Hi Chris, so sorry you are feeling bad. Maybe it's just a cold--we've managed to escape the flu so far. Hope you are back to yourself soon! Love the ballerina pattern--I've never seen it before.

  2. What a lovely color for a tea cup...and I hope you are feeling better with lots and lots of warm tea.

    Blessings to you!

  3. Hope you are feeling well again soon. Love that green teacup - wonder what the story is on the ballerina pattern? Time to Google *s*

  4. I love everything about your tea cups from the colour to the shape and pattern name.
Hope you get over your cold soon.
    Take care, :)

  5. Oh Chris, I am so sorry you are not feeling well. Hot tea in such a sweet cup should help ease your discomfort!
Stay warm and rest, rest, rest.

  6. I love that teacup! I hope you are feeling better soon.

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
