I have been reading on several blogs about everyone's love of Matthew Mead's magazine which I was able to pick up almost as soon as it came out.

I am lucky enough to live in beautiful NH, as does Matthew Mead, so as I was cooking supper last night I caught a commercial with his name mentioned on the tv. I went running to the living room to see what it was about and found that later that evening on the local tv channel's Chronicle show, Matthew was going to be featured! So I watched it and found it fascinating to see how he works and to see how he and his staff came up with some of the ideas in the magazine. Everything was so simple and so beautiful and classy. I'd like to think I could achieve the same for myself but that will probably never happen!

  1. Love this link to Matthew Mead...I remember seeing him a few times on HGTV... did not know he was from new hampshire... and it looks like he helps out the guys from Stonewall kitchen... love that place.
Thanks for your visit to my place and the sweet comment.

  2. Hi Chris, I have only just heard about Matthew Mead. The magazine looks great, I wish we had him over here. He seems to have a wealth of idea's to keep you all busy. Very inspirational, makes me want to disappear into my workroom and start creating. Best wishes Ginny

  3. I've been reading about him too. No such luck finding the magazine in Canada though. I love the cover.

  4. I just had to come by with a name like ~*cats on my quilts*~
I have 3 of my own and would love to have just one masterpiece quilt! A sheer delight for me to see your cats on thier quilts! ~*Happy Holidays*~ from Canada..NG

  5. Thanks Naturegirl! I love cats and they seem to love quilts. Love your site too.

  6. Hey there Chris gosh I got the magazine and it's just not my thing... and I'm not sure why lol. Anyways I have plans on gifting someone with it so it will go to good use.

  7. I guess I like it because it is so anti-Martha! She drives me crazy. I can't do anything she suggests-too complicated and too many steps.

  8. You lucky girl living so close to The Man! I sure am keeping my fingers crossed that he will be able to turn this into something larger.

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
