Happy New Year

I hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy 2013 full of blessings. We had a simple New Year's Eve babysitting our 2 grandsons and to bed early for both grandsons and grandparents. We were subjected to the Wii game Lego Batman and neither myself or my husband could figure out how to play this game. The 3 and 5 year old knew what we they were doing and tried explaining it to their clueless grandparents to no avail. We wandered up to our lake camp today to check on it and it was beautiful.

We had no snow for Christmas but had a couple of good snow storms since. We were kind of surprised to find open water still in front of our property so no ice skating yet. The other side of the lake looks frozen.

And here I am shivering-it was really cold today. I can't wait until summer!

  1. Brrrrrrr.. I know what you mean....can't wait to get back to the lake.....but it looks so cold this time of year. Not sure if I am ready to live there through the winter.

  4. Chris, what a beautiful snowfall you all have had! A perfect way to begin the new year. There is just something so refreshing and cleansing about fresh snow!

I was thinking about you recently, and a few others that I've know pretty much since the beginning of my blogging days. I'm really happy to have "met" you :) And it's hard for me to believe that your grandbabies are 3 & 5! I remember you announcing their births! And don't feel bad about the Wii. We've had one for well over a year and I only just in November played it for the first time at my parents house. They have a Wii and know all about it - and they, along with my kiddos, had to show me what to do, ha! I can hardly work the television remote, much less a game remote. Ahhh!

Wishing you a WARM and lovely January, Chris!

    xoxo

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
