Some Knitting
Besides some quilting going on here I have also been knitting and here is a sweater I just finished. I used to knit quite a lot but somewhere along the line I stopped. But I have been seeing all the beautiful things being made on blogs and by friends and picked up the needles again and got going. This is a Plymouth Yarn Company pattern and it was made with their Encore worsted weight yarn. Loved knitting with this yarn. I already have another sweater I want to make so I will start that today most likely. So I'm still quilting but you're likely to see a knit project now and again.
Gorgeous sweater. I've too have picked up my needles recently.
ReplyDeleteLovely sweater -- unique & clever closure!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! Welcome back to the world of knitting. This sweater inspires me to perhaps one of these days to knit something other than baby blankets, hats and mittens!
ReplyDeleteyour sweater is gorgeous. i didn't know you were a knitter. wish i had your talent, i'm working at it, but it's slow coming. i also like your quilt from the previous post - i would have never put that together, but it works.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty sweater.
ReplyDeleteLovely sweater! The closure is very clever. I knit for only a little while, many years ago, but did manage to make a sweater for my mom. Then the quilting bug hit...
ReplyDeleteA lovely sweater. I've been dabbling with yarn too... crocheted elf booties for my grand daughter and have my eye on a dress (knitted) for her.
ReplyDeleteI really like the sweater you made. I have been knitting slippers and then when I finish a pair I don't feel like looking up a different pattern so I just make another pair of same slippers!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I used to love knitting when my offspring were young. Fashion put a stop to all that.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad it is back in fashion.
What a beautiful sweater Chris; I am SO impressed!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very Merry Christmas!

How gorgeous! I love that color and the closure!
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are also amazing! The ugly fabric one turned out to be very sweet!
Have a very Merry Christmas!!!
