Yay for Vacation!
I am back from a week at one of NH's fabulous lakes and how smart of me to pick the hottest week of the summer to be by water. I planned it that way I tell you. We had a lot of fun.
There was lots of fishing.
This young man caught a pretty good size bass.
There were water cannon fights.
There were s'mores.
Machine quilting inspiration?
I did manage to buy some fabric at a local fabric store. Just some pinks and yellows that I don't have much of. The one thing there was none of was sewing-just a little knitting. I'll be back in the saddle again this week I hope but it is so nice out that I have been out and about most days. At least those 100 degree days have gone bye-bye. I'm glad we only get a few of those every few years. I don't know how you southern girls survive summer with day after day of those temps.
Sounds like a great time and the ONLY way to deal with your recent heat wave. I would have NEVER survived it *s*
ReplyDeleteChuckle! In the south we wonder how you survive the winter with day after day of those temps!!! Having lived in both climates, I've just traded staying inside in the winter for staying inside in the summer! I'm glad your health is stable and that you have a new set of priorities for your life. I love looking at the photo of your calico cat!!

ReplyDeleteLove the quilting inspiration from the water! We are vacation this week and I, too, am thinking of a quilt. I described it to my husband this morning over coffee and he said "ooh, what a vision"... LOL Looks like you guys had a great time! Handsome little boys there!

ReplyDeleteSounds like you timed that well. We New Englanders are certainly not cut out for that kind of weather. I'm in a countdown for fall right now (although not in too much of a rush for winter!) Don't you love Checkerberries! They have the sweetest shop and so much stuff in it!
