This is a Lot of Snow

Well, the snow storm is over and this is what 20 inches of snow looks like. We are all dug out and today was all sunny and sparkly-a beautiful winter day. I enjoyed my snow day from work yesterday and spent the day painting trim in the sewing room. I'm getting there! I'd still rather have this 20 inches than ice anyday. I feel for you girls down south who got all that ice. And those of you in warmer locations, please don't tell me the temperature there.  I don't think my mind could take it.

  1. It sure is nice to have a snowy day to get things done as long as the power stays on, LOL. Looking forward to more photos of your sewing room progress. I live in Southern Maine and we didn't get quite as much snow as you did.

  2. I am embracing ever single, sparkly, fluffy, cold flake. Winter is the best season New England has to offer *s*

  3. Chris,
We had a foot of snow fall last weekend and there is more coming our way this weekend. It is cold outside but at least there is no rain with it. I am with you - I do not like ice and freezing rain- it makes everything so treacherous.
I live in Western Canada( Alberta) and we have more snow this year than we have had for many years- at least at one time.
    Regards,
    Anna

  7. Now that is SNOW!!! We still have a little ice on the ground in the shady areas, but mostly all clear in NC.

  8. My CT driveway looks like a twin of yours -- just hoping it will melt gradually so the cellar doesn't flood. "Window" shopping in on-line quilt shops helps avoid the onset of cabin fever.

  10. Oh dear. That snow would be the end of me, I am sure of it. January is such a long hard month weather wise, isn't it?

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
