It Must Be The Heat

I've been kind of absent here. I'm blaming it on the heat. We don't like hot and humid in these parts and we've had a lot of it for a week now. Anyways, I have not been sewing much except to finish up my blocks for my small Imagine quilt. I even managed to get four rows sewn together.

I love this fabric, Mill House Inn from Fig Tree. I love the mix of the soft aquas and green and those pops of coral/orage and brown just make it come alive. So I'll get to the finishing of this soon.

In the meantime I'll be gone for a bit here as we are renting a friend's lake house for a week. I could sure use a week on the shores of a NH lake. Not sure how peaceful it will be because the 2 grandsons, along with parents, and other assorted people will be there. But I wouldn't have it any other way. See you soon.

  1. that is so lovely! that plum color draws your eyes around the quilt! great choice...

  2. nice colors, I like the dark fabrics, makes it interesting. Oh, a week on a lake!!!! Enjoy

  3. Quilt is looking good, have fun at the lake!

  4. That will look lovely when done. I'm hoping this horrible weather will break soon here in NH. I don't want to think what August will be like. On weekends I'm getting to be like a Marine-more things done before breakfast than the average person. I'm gearing all my weekend activities around the temperature...before 10:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m. September can't come soon enough!

  5. I love that fabric, too. I so admire these blocks. Seeing you soon I hope, too. And oh I love the kitty banner. Hugs, *karendianne.

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
