The Party's Over

Really, I'm still here on earth! Just absent from blogging because I am back at work at the college where I work after a summer off. I have been just overwhelmed with the amount of work there is to do before all the students show up next week. Anyways here's some of what I did on my summer vacation.

I saw the woman on the left, my MIL, accept her award for Senior Citizen of the year in her town. It was a surprise and this woman is really hard to surprise so it was a super colossal surprise.
I made this quilt

and this quilt. I have actually got this one back from my quilter so I'll get a picture posted soon. I also made a fall table runner but I haven't quilted it yet so it will show up here at some point.
I welcomed a new grandson and played alot with his big brother, my first grandson. It was a fun time going to the beach with him.
I picked a few flowers from my garden. I also was able to pick peas and lettuce and that was it. It was too wet a summer for a garden in NH this summer.
I also went to Maine, did a bit of antiquing, and just generally recharged my batteries. It was a good summer. Hope yours was too.

Always a shame to get back into harness after a holiday.

  10. I work at a University too. Its always exciting when the students return from the summer, but this year I have not had a summer vacation at all and man on man, does that make a difference. Hope you have a good year. Love the quilts you made over the summer.

  12. Chris,

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I so admire you and your sister for your strength and determination to fight that awful disease.

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
