Winter Sun on Quilt

If the picture below was in an art gallery I think it would be called "Winter Sun on Quilt". The sun low in the sky was streaming into my sewing studio over the weekend and highlighting my Country Living quilt which I have started.
It's going slowly with my limited sewing time. Plus the fact there are a lot of pieces with this quilt.

It was nice, though, to see some sun for a change. It has been doing a good job of hiding this winter. I hope you're having better weather than us.
And don't forget to visit my favorite new blogger Stamps and Stiches, my little girl, Caryl.
P.S.-She's 27 but she's still my little girl!

  1. This is a gorgeous new quilt you're working on Chris. And I like the name "Winter Sun on Quilt" for it :-). Lots and lots of snow here too. I'll stop by your daughter's new blog and say hello. Thanks for the link!

  4. How very pretty your pictures are and that is going to be a great quilt! You know, there is no hurry to finish a quilt, take your time and enjoy the process. I think sometimes we pressure ourselves too much to get them done and forget that we do this for the pleasure of quilting. I, for one, have to keep reminding myself this is not a race to make as many quilts as I can, but rather an expression of my art. Hmmm..sorry, didn't mean to sound like a lecture, acturally talking more to myself!

I pray that risen from the dead,
In glory I will stand,
A crown perhaps upon my head,
And a needle in my hand.
